Pewter and enamel cufflinks created by time served craftsmen. The Irish Tricolour contains an orange stripe, representing its Irish Protestant people, a green stripe, signifying it's Irish Catholic people and the republican cause, and a white stripe representing the hope of peace between the two peoples. It was first unfurled in 1848 and was adopted as the Irish national flag upon gaining independence from Britain in 1921.
