Made from pewter by time served craftsmen. Supplied in a Leatherette presentation box. The badge of the Prince of Wales has been in use in Royal Heraldry since the 14th century. It comprises of three white ostrich feathers protruding through a gold coronet. The motto 'Ich Dien' (I serve) lies underneath on a dark blue ribbon. The title 'Prince of Wales' ( Tywysog Cymru) was originally given to rulers of Wales but is now an indicator of the heir apparent, or the next in line to the throne. |
