A four or five yard (depending on your measurements) medium weight kilt worn in the traditional way, in the full range of Irish tartans. The quality and weight of the tartan fabric we use for our Casual Kilts is exactly the same as for our full traditional 8 yard kilts. The Casual Kilt is cleverly cut to look authentic; the hang and swing is similar, though not quite the same to the experienced eye. Less material makes its lightness ideal for hillwalking, sporting events, or any other activity where a full dress kilt might be a burden. But we use 13oz medium weight materials (not light weight) for greater durability.

This is a beautiful Kilt. Beautiful piece of wool. The workmanship is excellent. It's difficult to tell the difference in yardage, it looks the same as an 8 yard kilt, just a little lighter in weight.
And, it didn't take 5 to 10 weeks! I ordered on the 2nd of Dec. and received it on the 27th of Dec..
