I'm happy with the presentation of this earlier style of neckwear, which preceeded the necktie of today. The maker's cut of the tartan fabric with a slight diagonal orientation allows the full impact of the 'weathered Ferguson plaid' to be seen. Perhaps the Scotwebstore should have a descriptive insert with this item so that the unexperienced could be sure of the propper wrapping of the tie. If the person wearing this cravat had a neck size greater than 17 inches, the cravat would probably display as too small.
